Does this only happen to me?

How come every time I go to the gym I see some form of genitalia? I mean, I understand it's a gym locker room and people change, but these people have NO SHAME.

Today there was a lady just sitting there with NOTHING on just rummaging through her gym bag... really, you couldn't look for whatever you are looking for BEFORE you got naked? If you are at least trying to change but are facing away from the rest of the people in the locker room or trying to cover up with a towel or something- then yes, that I think that is fine. But to those who don't even attempt to be discrete, I just don't get it.

I guess I'm just not that comfortable with myself/my body to go stripping down the in gym locker room, especially when there are perfectly good stalls near by that yield more privacy.

Either way I change at home.

Walk it Out

Every night after dinner Josh and I go for a walk to get some fresh air. A couple of nights ago, I asked Josh if he was ready to go and he said he just needed to grab a sweatshirt... and THIS is what he came out wearing.... I kid you not.

I guess in the world of Josh, Plaid on Plaid with a touch of loafer slippers is an excellent combination. I couldn't help but laugh. Silly boys, what would they do without us?

Good Riddance to the Playoff Beard!

I'm not sure how many of you follow hockey, but the NHL Hockey Playoffs are going on right now. And as tradition has it, if your team goes to Playoffs you don't shave for good luck. Lucky for me, the San Jose Shark's (Josh's favorite team) made it as the number one seed for the first round of the Playoffs, which means Josh hasn't shaved in quite some time.

Sadly, last night the Shark's were eliminated from the first round of the Playoffs after six games against the Anaheim Ducks. What does this mean for me? JOSH CAN FINALLY SHAVE! And trust me, I didn't waste any time, as soon as the game was over, I made him get rid of that scruffy and scratchy attempt at a beard.

Pre-Shave Beard
Why is Josh shaving in the shower you might ask? Because I am a germ freak, and with that much hair coming off of his face I don't want it anywhere near the sink, my bathroom cup, or any surface that I use regularly. Plus it cleans up a lot easier when you can just wash it down the drain.
See what I'm talking about?! haha he also emptied the holding tank on his razor, so not all of that was on his face, but still! So nasty!
Finally, Smooth!
Can I also share with you the delish Tereyaki Chicken Skewers we made for dinner on the BBQ last night? Yum!
Okay, time for me to continue the job hunt! ta ta!

Monterey Bay Aquarium

Over the weekend Josh, Allie, and I went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for Allies Birthday! So here we go with only a select few of the 270 pictures I took haha!

Monterey Bay

We had to stop so the geese could cross the road, don't worry they made it safely
The Aquarium! There was a huge line and a TON of people there for Dia De Ninos.
Josh bored/still asleep waiting in line.

Allie fielding her birthday calls while waiting in line.
Meee too! I was wearing my hood because I didn't want the seagulls to poo on me haha
Almost Inside... I had to pee so bad, and I was freezing, so the wait seemed even longer than it really was.The Kelp Forest! This was so cool, it was 2 stories high!Penguin! There were a lot more but they were all swimming too fast for me to get a good picture of them.Sea Otter!! So Cute!
Joshy and I :)
The Birthday Girl and I! Super cool looking Sea Horse!
Another one!SHARRRRRRRK!Sand Dollars! I had no idea this was how they grew/lived.
Dory and her friends!Jelly Fish! After the Aquarium, we got in the car and drove along the coast. We stopped at a scenic overlook to eat lunch and when Josh got his sandwich tupper out, it was full of water from the ice chest! Apparently it wasn't water proof.... so we had to share my sandwich haha.
There were a lot of really beautiful stops along the coast, but this one was pretty neat. This is the Lone Cypress, it is famous because it randomly grew out of rocks and it is 250 years old!A the Lone Cypress stop there were tourists that were trying to hand feed a squirrel near me, but I wasn't really paying attention because I was taking pictures. Well, the next thing I know, the squirrel is at my feet ready to bite my bright pink painted toes that it thinks are food, I just about peed my pants!
Josh sleeping the whole way home.

After we got back home we met up with some other friends at The Cantina in Santa Rosa for dinner, it was deeelish! Then Josh and I came home, watched a few episodes of cops, and went to bed. We were gone for over 12 hours (with almost 6 spent driving) but it was well worth it, and of course, another fun day spent at the California coast!

Hope you all had a great weekend too!

My New Love: The Cuisipro

I love to bake. Muffins, Cupcakes, Cookies, Pancakes, you name it! Last year I bought a Cuisipro, and for some unknown reason it has been sitting unused in the back of the cabinet ever since, so the other night, Josh and I changed that! And boy am I glad we did!

Allow me to introduce: The Cuisipro
It perfectly dispenses the batter so every cupcake has the same amount and they all cook evenly! There is a setting switch so you can make different things like cupcakes, muffins, and pancakes.

Here is Josh testing it out, he was going for speed, and thought it was the coolest thing ever.
As you can see by this action shot, Josh and the Cuisipro weren't slowing down for ANYTHING!
The best part about the cuisipro is that it comes apart and ALL of the pieces are dishwasher safe, can life get any better?

If you are looking for a sweet new gadget, or something to give your Mom for Mother's Day that she probably doesn't already have, I reccomend the Cuisipro. (I got mine at Williams-Sonoma)

In other news, I had to get a tetanus shot today, luckily Josh was there told hold my hand. The prick stung, but the shot was fine, but now my arm hurts like someone socked me a good one, oh well.

I'm looking forward to staying in tonight and taking it easy, the last two nights have been late ones, Wednesday was Britney and Thursday Josh had hockey till 1am, yes 1am is when he arrived home. Needless to say, I'm ready to watch some Cops and hit the hay early.

And for you iPhone/iPod touch owners, I just downloaded an App called Coupon Sherpa, it is free all this week for Earth Week (random) and it is awesome. It lists all of the major retailers and their coupons, like Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, along with Gap, and Sherwin Williams among others haha! I'm pretty excited because they have a 40% off coupon for Michael's which is great because I want to buy a scrapbook so I can FINALLY scrap when Josh and I went to Hawaii (2 Augusts ago, a bit overdue!).

Anyways, Hope you all had a Happy Friday!

BRITNEY!

I've been wanting to go to a Britney concert for a while, and I finally gave in and bought tickets = best decision EVER! Josh and I went to the Circus last night, and boy o boy, if nothing else, the tickets were worth the circus performers alone! It was insane!!

Our seats were really good, we didn't have anyone directly in front of us, so we could stand and lean against this railing, which was way better than just standing. If I were to do it again (and I had a job/regular income) I would have spent more money on the tickets so we could have been closer, but oh well, this was good enough for an unemployed gal on a budget! haha Enjoy the pictures, sorry they are kinda blurry, but I didn't use flash very much because the lady next to me kept giving me the stink eye.

Me and Our Tickets!
(and our funny fake chicken on the railing -more on that another day)

Josh driving to BRITNEY!
Oracle Arena in Oakland
Now I don't want to be mean, but seriously, there were so many girls dressed like hoochie mamas! I know it's a fun thing to dress up and everything, but it was 60 Degrees out!! And it's not like there were any single guys there to impress... I dunno, call me crazy or a party pooper, but I guess I'm just a bit more practical... and grannyish. haha

The Three Ring Circus set up before the concert started. They took the covers off the outer two rings after the Pussycat Dolls performed.
Joshy and I!
(He wouldn't shave his "attempt" at a play off beard for Brtiney...)

Crazy Circus Act spinning a cube super fast above his head and around his body!
Lady Spinning tons of hoops around her body while standing upside down on one foot!
This picture doesn't do these people justice. There were two guys holding a bendy balance beam board, and the girl would jump and do a flip, and the guys would move accordingly to catch her. It was CRAZY. I can't believe she didn't fall.
CIRCUS! They had this neat circular video screen that they would lower and move, it was really neat!
Perez Hilton...
Brtiney in a circus animal cage.
Britney!
During If You Seek Amy!
Britney floating around in a picture frame!
Womanizer!

Finale!

If You Seek Amy Clip

Womanizer/Encore Clip

Overall it was an AMAZING show! Inbetween the stage changes they always had some form of entertainment, like circus acts or something on the circular video screen. It was really neat. I would reccomend going if it is going to be in a city near you, even if you aren't a huge fan, it is WORTH the money!

Side note: for those who were wondering, Josh is not a big fan of B.Spears, but he was a good sport and went with me anyways! :) And he said he had fun, even better!
