Home Alone- ughhh

This weekend sucked! Not only did I have to close 3 nights at work, as well as work Friday-Sunday, but I was home ALL ALONE!
I am a huge chicken. I'm the one who lays in bed and thinks every little noise is someone trying to break in, so as you can imagine I didn't sleep very much/very well the past few nights with Joshy being gone.

It also wasn't helpful that I had to come home to an empty house every night at 10:30 pm - talk about creepy! So I made sure to leave every light on, have my pepper spray in the ready to use position, and I may have also slept with my dresser pushed up behind my bedroom door. Yes, I realize this isn't normal behavior haha.

And no, I don't live in the ghetto or anything, it's actually a really cute neighborhood, I am just THAT paranoid. Maybe I should invest in a body guard, or get a dog after all!!

Hope you all had a better and more restful weekend than I did!

i totally understand! MrB was on a business trip back in june and was gone a few nights. i took the baseball bat out of the attic and placed it next to my bed. fell asleep every night with the tv on, because i didnt WANT to hear any noises!

Aw! I'm not a fan of being home alone either, if it makes you feel better!

Being home alone is freaky. I leave most of the lights on and the televisions so there's noise.

ugh, i don't like being at home alone at all either :(
the dresser might be a little extreme but whatever makes you feel comfortable hun ;)
i can only fall asleep when my eyes will no longer stay open.
my "guard dog" seems to bark at any little noise when my B isn't home so that doesn't help my nerves at all!

After we moved into our house, my hubby had to leave for 4 nights and I hated everyone of them. I slept on the couch. But I did have my little buddy to protect me.

Totally feel the same way. I freak out SO badly. Which is pretty sad considering that I used to live in an apartment all on my own not to far from our house. You think what you did was bad? We sleep with a loaded GUN under our bed! And this is North Dakota where NOTHING happens!

I SO KNOW THAT FEELING! However--put a fan in your room, it drowns out the creepy noises and helps you sleep peacefully. My dog helps, too ;) EXCEPT--when he barks at said noises. UGH!

When I'm home alone at night, I swear I can hear a pin drop! I never get good sleep!
Hope he comes home soon!

I am the same way!
I told Big Man he can never work a 3rd shift job cause I would drive myself insane if I was home all night by myself.
