Weekend of Camping and Boating!

I'm Back!!! I've been out of the bloggy world for almost a week now and I was starting to have with-drawls! haha

Last week I had Thurs-Sunday off, so Josh and I were able to join my family and our friends for my parents annual lake trip that they host for their company! It is by far my favorite trip of the summer!

So on Thursday Josh and I headed home to Livermore and picked up my brother from my parents house and then embarked on our journey! When we arrived at the check in gates we saw a hilarious Motor Home Fail - note the sign.
Once we squeezed by the stupid motorhome we headed toward our group camp and along the way we found a sweet whale!

Then we hung out and waited for my parents to come back in from boating. Josh forgot a book to read so I loaned him The Time Traveler's Wife haha

Over the course of the weekend we spent a lot of time out on the water :)

And did some fun water sports!

We also went out on our daily Floatilla (where we all tie the boats off together and float in the water)

On Saturday we met up with some friends who had a house boat!

Then on Sunday it was time to pack up!

And the boys hung out with the dogs while we waited to leave

Then it was back on the road home :(

We helped my Dad put the toys away and unload the motorhome

Then we said goodbye to my brother Kevin who was leaving for college - Go Boise State!

And then Josh crashed and took a long nap!

It was an AWESOME weekend and I am so thankful that I was able to get the time off of work to join my family and friends. We had a blast!

ANNND I managed to stay sunburn free until the last day when I switched from No-Ad Sunscreen to Coppertone- so a word to the wise - if you are boating avoid Coppertone! It washes off!!!

Now it is back to work, but at least I have some sun to show off finally :)

Easter Weekend Camping Trip at the Coast!

Sunday night after I got off of work Josh and I headed to the Coast to meet my family for a few days of camping! :)

On Monday morning when we got up my Dad and his friends were de-shelling and prepping the abalone that they dove for the previous day.

After they were done, the water was too rough for them to go diving, so we went in to Mendocino for the day! We had a yummy lunch at a Brewing company!

Then the boys and I went for a walk along the coastline! They were being nerdy photogs

After our super sweet walk we headed home and had BBQ tacos with everyone by the campfire!

As a side note: my parents brought our 3 labs camping, and when we went back to the motor home after the camp fire the dogs were all sleeping and Bo was snoring SO LOUD! haha I had to video it!


The next morning we woke up to Mom making a delicious breakfast feast!

Then my Dad, his friends, and my brother suited up to go abalone diving!

After their dive they came back in and we had a BBQ for lunch! Then Josh and I made the trek back home because alas I had work to get back to, boo!

It was SO nice to have two days off in a row, even NICER to spend it with my family, and even more GREAT was that I got to get some camping in too! :) Such a perfect few days off!

Pre-Scheduled Post!

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!!

Josh and I left on yesterday to meet up with my family at the Coast!
We will be back on Wednesday after a few days of camping and relaxing!

But don't let me fool you, my parents will be bringing this:
so the camping part won't be too rough ;)

Boating Weekend!

This weekend Josh and I went camping with my family and a bunch of family friends at Lake Oroville! It was SO hot the whole weekend (it never went below 100!) but it was still a great time! Thursday Josh and I drove to the lake, and that night we celebrated my parents 26th Anniversary!

I got some cute cupcakes from Sift to bring with us and they were delish!

Friday morning we got up really early because the sun was beating into our tent making it a sweat box! It's so crazy when it is already over 90 at 7am! We ran misters the whole time we were in camp and they were lifesavers!

After we were all loaded up in the boat we met up with our friends, tied all of the boats together and went swimming! (We did a lot of this since it was so hot!)

I had to take a picture of this houseboat, it reminds me of some sort of gypsy wagon haha

By the end of the day poor Joshy was SO sunburned and tired. (I felt bad because I was in charge of putting sunscreen on him - whoops guess I failed at that one)

Friday night we went back into camp and made some dinner, then called it an early night. On Saturday we woke up again to the blazing heat- YUCK! Then we went out to breakfast and then spent another full day out on the boat :)

Saturday night we all went in to town to a Mexican restaurant for dinner, then we came back and hung out for a while before heading to bed. The great part about the group camp we were staying in was that it had really clean showers! So I got to shower every day, which was def. a plus!

Sunday morning we got up and packed all of our stuff and hit the road!

And of course, since Josh and I were driving through Sacramento literally RIGHT PAST IKEA we had to stop! We got my desk, along with many other treasures :)

As you can see we did quite a bit of damage!

Who needs to use their rear view mirror anyways?

Overall it was a SUPER fun weekend, I got some much needed sun, along with a minor sunburn, but I'm lotion-ing it up frequently so hopefully I won't peel! It was great being out on the boat with my family and friends, just hanging out :)
