My Wonderful Weekend Off! :)

Thanks to the scheduling gods, I lucked out and my weekend off turned out to be one of the most beautiful weekends this month! No rain and all sunshine! :)

On Friday night I went to the gym and then Josh and I hung out and relaxed because Saturday morning he had to get up bright and early to take the WEPT - an English test that you must pass in order to graduate. So I headed to the town of Sonoma to meet up with my good friend Lindsey for lunch!

The scenic drive!

The Sonoma Town Plaza
Lots of trees!
We had lunch at a really cute outdoor cafe and then walked around the plaza and looked in all of the neat little shops! It was so great to see her again :)
Then I came home and Josh and I couldn't decide what to do, but it was still SO nice out, so I opted to wash the Jetta! I don't even care that it is supposed to rain this week, the Jetta needed a cleaning bad!
Saturday night Josh's sister and some of their hockey friends came over to watch the Sharks hockey game. We made homemade popcorn and watched the Sharks win! I also decided to make some cupcakes and loaded up my Cuisipro, but little did I know the bottom wasn't on all the way so when I squeezed the pump the bottom fell off and all of the batter came out! haha

On Sunday morning my parents came up to visit! So we headed to Healdsburg!
We had lunch at the Healdsburg Bar and Grill and then walked around the downtown square.
Along the way my parents did some wine tasting, and we even came across a toad! haha
Then we headed over to Paradise Ridge, the winery where our good friends Stephanie and Anthony work! It had an absolutely amazing view!
The indoor wedding facility, so pretty! And I love those chandeliers!
Josh doing a little wine tasting!
My dad thought it was the funniest thing ever that I could fit my tiny fingers through the table
Josh and I :)
The view!
After relaxing on the deck at the winery we headed back to our place, watched a Food Network cake challenge and then my parents headed home.

Then Josh and I were off to a work party to celebrate Casy's last day! We even had a mermaid pinata! haha
Janell's daughter Kali hitting the pinata
Some of the girls!
Casy with the pinata head on
Casy cutting her goodbye cake!
All of the girls :)
Then we came home and got ready for bed! It was one of those great weekends where I got a lot done, and did a lot of fun things, but I never felt rushed or worn out, it was so fun and relaxing!

I hope everyone else had a great weekend too!

So glad you had a nice weekend and that the weather cooperated. Sonoma looks absolutely beautiful and I would love to visit there one day.

If the Cuisipro were working right, that looks like the greatest invention. I hate portioning out cake batter from the bowl into the liners.

Sunday looks like a great day. Wine tasting and a party later = fun times :)

Sounds like a fabulous weekend! I'm just a little jealous. I spent the whole weekend on my computer writing reports for work and a paper for school. Blek.
