The Lovely Bones

Friday night my good friend Amber and I had a girls night because Josh was out of town for hockey and her boyfriend was gone as well. We had a nice dinner and then headed to the movies to see The Lovely Bones!
I read the book a few years ago and I remembered the basic story line, but I was NOT prepared for how creepy the movie was. There were a lot of details that I started to remember as I watched the movie and I soon realized that it was a bad movie choice to watch when Josh was out of town! Haha I was totally freaked out that night!

But overall it was a great movie and maybe because it has been so long since I read the book, but I think that the movie did a great job of portraying the book. I highly recommend you see it, but make sure you aren't home alone! haha

Another plus to the movie (aside from it just being a good movie) was the wonderful eye candy that is Mark Wahlberg -SO FREAKING HOT!!

I hope you all had a great weekend!
Happy Monday!

lol...I just can't watch any kind of creepy movie unless I'm with hubby...and I know I won't be by myself. Otherwise I can't sleep well (if at all!)

I was on the fence about seeing this movie. Now that I see Mark Walberg is nice eye candy in it though....haha!

But really. I might have to read the book aswell! I love it when there's a book to go with the movie!

I'm currently on "Dear John" right now :)

Iv heard mixed reviews about this movie. A couple people who have read the book loved the book but not too crazy about the movie and others who didnt read the book loved it. It looks a little creepy and scary for me hehehe and I would definitly be like you and be a little frightened by myself! Glad you had a nice girls night!

LOL! Too funny that you would mention Mark Wahlberg. My roommates at SSU from my sophomore year had this insanely huge crush on him and would swoon over him whenever he was mentioned! Personally, I'm not into celebrity crushes, but they were always so cute! =]
I'll have to rent The Lovely Bones when it comes out. I didn't really like the book (though it was awhile ago that I read it) but you make the movie sound pretty good! Hope you didn't get too creeped out. That is the WORSE feeling ever when you're home alone.

The movie meant so much to me. I just lost a family memeber this year and I loved the book-it totally changed my life. Mr. Harvey was soo creepy my mom said that he is screwed for life anyone that sees him at the grocery store is going to flip out.

I'm going to watch it. It comes out next month so I can say more afterwards. Haven't read the book so can't comment either but I'm sure it's going to be alright. :) Hopefully. hehe. And yes, Mr Wahlberg...woohoo for Mark! :)

I haven't read the book or seen the movie, but would like to do both. I'm glad to hear the movie was decent compared with the book.

I can't watch anything scary or remotely weird if Big Man is gone.

Even commercials, I will cover my eyes and ears.
