Yesterday I FINALLY went to the doctor to get some sinus/allergy relief!! I have been so miserable and taking OTC meds hasn't been cutting it for me.
So among a prescription drug and nasal spray, the doctor also gave me this little box:

For those of you who have never seen one of these, let me introduce you to a nasal rinse. Which you fill up with water, hold tight to your nostril and then shoot the salt water up your nose.
It looks much like this.
Let me assure you there is nothing normal about this process. It felt like I did a somersault underwater and had a bunch of water going up my nose in the wrong ways, but the worst part was watching it come out of the other nostril and out of my mouth! Gross!But alas, it worked very well and my sinuses were all clear! (for a little while at least)
Have you ever had to use this gypsy contraption before??

OMG!! AHaha I totally remember when I used mine I was like I put it in my nose I was a little shocked at first but then after I used it it really did help ALOT..
Hhahaha, my husband compares the NetiPot things to waterboarding!! :)
Personally, they scare me!
HAHAHAH thats so funny.. yes I have and I never used it again. thankfully I haven't needed it and lets just hope I dont need it anymore.

I feel your pain. I have major sinus issues and have had to use something similar. Glad you are feeling better though! I swear allergy season is way worse and lasting a lot longer than last year.
Alot of people have raved about the Neti Pot but it still grosses me out.
Oh my goodness! I don't think I could do that! It would freak me out. Actually I'd probably start gagging and never be able to do it a 2nd time.
Love the pic describing how it looks like. Girl, yes I've had this done before. An awful nose spray shotting salt water stuff up the nose...gross. I really thought I was drowning there. It sure felt the same. It worked though. Try to use it regularly or as your doc recommended and then it should clear out eventually and you feel like a newborn baby again. :)
sometimes we have to suffer in order to feel better etc. :(

I’ve heard that this really works, but have never tried it. It definitely must have been a weird sensation!
I haven't used one... but I definitely should! It kind of creeps me out though.
