Oh the things you'll do...

Yesterday I FINALLY went to the doctor to get some sinus/allergy relief!! I have been so miserable and taking OTC meds hasn't been cutting it for me.

So among a prescription drug and nasal spray, the doctor also gave me this little box:

For those of you who have never seen one of these, let me introduce you to a nasal rinse. Which you fill up with water, hold tight to your nostril and then shoot the salt water up your nose.

It looks much like this.

Let me assure you there is nothing normal about this process. It felt like I did a somersault underwater and had a bunch of water going up my nose in the wrong ways, but the worst part was watching it come out of the other nostril and out of my mouth! Gross!

But alas, it worked very well and my sinuses were all clear! (for a little while at least)

Have you ever had to use this gypsy contraption before??

whoops!

Today on campus they were having a Tye Dye Super Nooner! (Nooner's are events that happen at noon in the quad) I must toot my own horn and admit that I was the one who first started the super nooners, complete with activities, live music, jumpy houses, and free pizza. What could be better?

Anyways, I rode my bike to campus today to help out, because putting on tye dye for a whole campus is a big job! In my day (spoken in granny voice) we would do the traditional method of dipping the shirts into large buckets of dye, which I think works well, especially for a mass amount of people. But the new rascals like to do it the new and imporved way of using squeeze bottles, which results in richer color and more precision with the dye. BUT along with it comes a huge mess, and having to refil the bottles every 10 minutes when they run out. So I think it is safe to say that my way is better, but it's not my event anymore, so I just sit back and laugh, mean I know.

Lots of People wrapping up their shirts to be tye dyed!
Funky Band that was playing.
I was wearing gloves because I had to mix all of the dyes and everything, and I figured it would be a better idea than going without. Well my friends, these little bone fingers weren't exactly protected because the gloves were so big. So between my lack of aim, other peoples lack of aim, and the poor quality of gloves, my hands looked like I didn't wear any gloves at all. Which normally wouldn't be an issue, but about half way through tye dying I realized "Oh S&$t, I have a sales training conference on Friday" and I now look like a rainbow smurf.
Please note this is after washing my hands and scrubbing them at least 5 times. Greeeaaaat.
Any ideas on how to get my hands clean?

Note to Self: THINK BEFORE YOU TYE DYE.

Now it's time for a nap. Being outside made my allergies insane so I took a benedryl which has sedated both my allergies as well as myself. Night Night :)

My Life Right Now

Right now I am at home of course, thanks to that lovely thing called being unemployed -LAME.

I didn't sleep very well last night, and actually woke up DRENCHED in sweat in the middle of the night, GROSS I know. It was so bad I had to change my jammies and put a towel down over where I was sleeping. I did some research and a few causes could be a) being preggo b) from taking viagra c) totally random causes
. I'm happy to annouce it is not option A or B, but if it is C then I'm a bit worried. This has happened about 4 or 5 times so far this year and it just keeps getting worse (and so far it hasn't happened during that time but a week or so before, if you get my drift). Any Insight?

So back to me right now in this moment, I'm currently sporting a pair of my pink ducky feety pjs, have a cup of kool-aid by my side, and a huge pile of tissues (because Mother nature has also decided to bless me with the worst allergies ever = allergic to all grasses and all pine trees, sweet I live in Northern California where these are inescapable.)

I thought about posting a picture of me in my feety pjs for about a millia second and then I realized that would be a terrible idea, so enjoy this overly happy girl instead.

Today my job search started off by being rejected from my #1 job choice - biggest feeling of defeat, I really really wanted that job. So the search continues.

I'm also keeping it exciting today by having hot/cold flashes. To be honest, I think being at home is slowly killing my soul haha. I CAN'T do it, I'm too independent to be at home all day!!! Stay at home Moms, I salute you!
